Question about PvP
I only have Prophecies, what's the difference among the PvP modes of the three campaigns? Are there any differences?

The biggest difference would be the limited amount of skills you have to choose from for PvP. Also if you want to try Hero Battles you would need Nightfalls, many still dont consider that PvP though.

Everybody has access to the same PvP arenas, with one exception. You do not need Nightfall to get involved in Hero Battles - create a PvP character and you can unlock some heroes for you to use in HB with Balthazar Faction (while your PvP characters can unlock and use them, your PvE characters cannot gain heroes without access to Nightfall or Eye of the North). The exception is Alliance Battles: to get involved in these, you must have Factions.
The only thing that you may find restrictive about PvP is that you only have Prophecies. With access to only the Core and Prophecies skills, you may find yourself at a tactical disadvantage compared to other players who have other campaigns and the skills that come with them. |

Can you use the same PvP character for each campaign, or do you need seperate characters for each?

Assassins and Ritualists are only available to Factions PvP characters, whereas Dervishes and Paragons are only available to Nightfall PvP characters. Otherwise, it makes no difference if it's a Tyrian/Canthan/Elonian core profession (other than the character model of course).

So what y'all are basically saying is that Factions PvP is an upgraded version of Prophecies PvP, and Nightfall PvP is an upgraded version of Factions PvP? Is there ANYTHING exclusive to Prophecies PvP at all, or is every campaign just an upgrade to the previous?

They aren't upgraded versions of anything. The core content of PvP allows you access to Random Arenas, Team Arenas, Heroes' Ascent and Guild vs Guild battles, which can be accessed from any campaign.
Having Factions gives you access to Alliance Battles. Having Nightfall gives you access to Hero Battles. The only real difference between the campaigns in terms of PvP is the available skills. |

Few more questions:
1) Does Nightfall give access to Alliance Battles, or did you mean they are exclusive to Factions? 2) Does Prophecies include skills that aren't included in Factions and Nightfall? |

1) Alliance battles, battles where the two Factions, Kurzick and Luxon battle, is exclusive the Factions, thus the name of the campaign.
Hero Battles (which are VERY unpopular so you aren't missing out on much) are exclusive to Nightfall. 2) Yes. There are skills only avialiable in Prophecies that aren't available in Factions and NF. Thus why your "each is an updated version" statement is inaccurate. |

Okay, thanks for the help. Final question; this one's opinion-based (or maybe not, I dunno): I am only going to make ONE PvP character. If I had all three campaigns, which campaign would be the best to make my PvP char with? Why?

Nightfall. Dervish and paragons are wanted in more groups than Assassins and Ritualists, and Nightfall has all the professions in Prophecies so Nightfall wins by default.
I'm not sure if you understand how PvP characters work. The point is you delete your old one whenever you want to play a new profession. You can create armor and weapons for free, so there is no downside to deleting one. I don't see the point in making 1 character and never deleting it. |

Bingo, you're absolutely right; I don't know jack about PvP. Anything else I need to know before I make my PvP character?

If you plan to get good, it will be hard since you wont have any experience, and especially since alot of players are way further ahead of you in pvp.
But id suggest to try anyway. Pvp is the main reason I still play |

Also if you only have Prophecies your skills will be limited. Factions and Nightfall have more skills that are needed to run most builds. Not to mention if your only going to play pvp you need to unlock the skills on your account before you can use them, same with weapon unlocks.
